The breakfast was perfect, the views were amazing, and the place was spotless. Janey’s kindness and hospitality made it feel like visiting a relative. We fell in love with Beach cottage, Janey, and her dog Monty. This was the best stay of our whole trip. I can’t wait to return, though I almost didn’t want to share this little gem with anyone else. :)

We had a spectacular view of the Moray Firth from our bedroom, and if the tides are right you can spot Bottlenose Dolphins and seals from the shore just outside. Janey was so welcoming and knew the local area well. She made us feel at home, and nothing was too much trouble. Our bedroom and en-suite were spotless and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty to choose from, and the Scottish breakfast was cooked perfectly. We stayed at Beach Cottage over the May bank holiday weekend and can’t wait to come back soon. 10/10 Kim and Kevin Nelson (Derby ,England )

Breakfast was outstanding, a traditional Scottish meal that the host can adjust to your liking. Our Beauly room on the second floor was very clean but compact, and the bathroom was tiny. If you’re over 6ft tall, the shower may be difficult to use. There’s a lovely view of the Moray Firth from the room, and a ground-level patio where you can sit in the evening and watch the sun set. The rural setting means the internet is not the fastest, so keep that in mind if WiFi matters to you. We had a very nice stay in this Scottish B&B in mid July.

The owner was helpful and shared good places to eat and visit. We were lucky enough to photograph seals from the garden, and the cottage is very close to the sea. The room and bathroom were clean and had everything we needed. Beach Cottage is very old, though the decor and furniture are modern and contemporary. It was the best B&B we visited during our UK holiday, and I’ll recommend it to friends and family.

Janey was a wonderful host and made a gorgeous breakfast. The rooms were clean, tasteful, and beautifully appointed. The sea view was breathtaking, and the water felt as close as it could possibly be. A very special place to stay. Thanks so much for a lovely visit. Will and Fiona xxx
