Braidmead House

The breakfast was the best surprise. They let you ask for what you like, and as a vegan I got exactly the sort of meal I’d have at home: sourdough, fresh vegetables and organic tofu. Braidmead House made my work trip to Irvine a wonderful experience. Diane was so welcoming and accommodating that it felt like staying with family. The rooms are spacious, lovely and have everything needed for a comfortable stay. The whole place is cosy and spotlessly clean. Best hotel stay I’ve had in ages, I can’t recommend it enough.

James and Diana, thank you. The house was spotless and high standard, and there was plenty of room to park. My son and I stayed two nights and were made to feel like friends rather than guests. Diana and James couldn’t do enough for us. I was catching up with friends I hadn’t seen in over 30 years in the lovely sitting room, and Diana went out of her way to bring us tea and biscuits. We got such a warm welcome from Diana, and it was great having a friendly person on the phone when I booked. I’d highly recommend this B&B.

The location in irvine was handy, just a short walk into town and a quick drive to places like Troon. I loved the stay. The owner was lovely, breakfast was super, and the rooms were clean and nicely done.

We were sorry to leave and wished we’d booked longer. We’d ended up here after a mix-up at another B&B, and I’m so glad we did. James was accommodating when arranging the booking and gave us a warm welcome. The room was spotless, had great facilities, and the beds were the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in. Breakfast was a superb freshly cooked full Scottish. Di made us feel welcome and helped us with the buses when we were leaving. Five stars, and we’ll absolutely come back. Thanks so much.
