We had a lovely two-night rental on the Isle of Skye with our family. The cottage was clean, cosy, comfortable and extremely well equipped, with a really relaxing view. We were very grateful for the breakfast kit, and the owner, who lives nearby, also offered us eggs from their hens. The kids were delighted.

A great spot for a family holiday, with an ideal base for getting around the north end of Skye. The hosts were fantastic, friendly people.

The hosts had left cereals, jams, yogurts, bread and milk for us, which was lovely. They’d also provided cleaning products and basics such as salt and pepper. A friendly ginger cat came to say hello every day, which we enjoyed. The kitchen was stocked with what we needed, right down to a corkscrew for wine. The bathroom was spacious, with both a bath and shower. The two bedrooms had wardrobes and plenty of space, though the mattresses were lumpy and felt dated, so the beds could be better.

I stayed here for two weeks while working, and it was absolutely amazing from the start. The owners communicated well and went above and beyond to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. The property itself was great, clean and really comfortable. Five stars. I’d definitely use it again if I’m back in the area.
