We loved the room and the riverside setting on a quiet street, with Kendal centre an easy walk away. Breakfast was fantastic and set us up for the day. Yvonne is kind, generous and hospitable, and as a keen cyclist she’s welcoming to other cycling enthusiasts. I also really appreciated her effort to reduce the environmental impact. If we’re near Kendal again, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

Yvonne made us feel very welcome throughout our stay at the Lyndhurst Guest House. Our room was clean, with a lovely view of the river, and she was a wonderful host.

There was plenty of tea and biscuits in the room, and Yvonne even gave us advice on what to do in wet weather. She’s super friendly and took great care of us. It was a lovely, restorative stay at Lyndhurst guest house, and the garage for storing bicycles was handy. A fantastic visit, we’d definitely come back.

The room overlooked the river, and Yvonne had thoughtfully left us a map and suggestions for places to eat and explore. This is a quirky little guesthouse with lots of considerate touches. We found the sewing kit useful, and there was also a hot water bottle and blanket for colder nights. Fresh biscuits, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and a kettle were waiting when we arrived. The room was spotless and comfortable, and communication was great from booking right through to leaving. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a guesthouse nearby.
