We went for Sunday lunch and had no complaints. The food was nice and freshly cooked.

The fish was excellent and really fresh, and the fresh-cooked food was very reasonably priced. It was our first visit to the Stag, and we were impressed by the friendly atmosphere and how nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely evening and will be back. The dog area is another bonus.

A nice village pub with friendly service the whole time. It has all the classic staple dishes, plus a few extras, and we liked having a separate vegan and vegetarian menu. Good value too, £32 each for three courses and two drinks.

Lunch at the Stag was a lovely way to finish a great morning. I was leading a group of 12 walkers, and everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The timing was perfect. Thanks, Rob and team. Dave M and HWU3A.

The food was good, but we were overcharged for the meal. I got my money back, though the lady behind the bar couldn’t work out the maths.
