The R Inn Hotel

Room 33 was great, with a new bathroom and 10 sockets, and the lady at reception was amazing and switched on. Parking was fine too. There’s a lively pub opposite with a nice young crowd who were polite and friendly. It’s a very good place to stay, though it becomes a weekend venue and gets noisy on Saturday nights past midnight. I’d stay again, just not on a Saturday.

I’m only here for work, but the hotel’s quiet and well placed for exploring or commuting into London. It’s clean, the bed is really comfortable, the shower has great pressure, and the staff are very friendly. I’ll definitely recommend it and stay again.

The bathroom was fantastic, with a big walk-in shower, two shower heads, and great water temperature and pressure. There’s also a separate bath with a built-in seat, which I didn’t use. The internet was fast and reliable at 50+ mbps. The room was comfortable and had the basics, though there wasn’t anywhere to sit. It felt too warm for me, but that’s personal preference, and the large fan helped with airflow. The very large bed was made from two single mattresses pushed together. The join was a little uncomfortable at first, but I got used to it quickly and slept fine. There’s a large free car park behind the property that felt safe, and the location is handy, on a road with plenty of shops and takeaway options if you don’t want the on-site restaurant. My room was beside the 24-hour access door, so people coming and going made some noise. It’s a small issue and wouldn’t affect rooms elsewhere. I really enjoyed the stay and would happily come back when I’m in the area.

The room was spacious and clean, though road noise came through even with the double glazing. The car park at the rear was roomy. I stayed just one night, and the receptionist was welcoming, polite and helpful when I arrived. Very good service.
