Premier Inn Leicester North West

I stayed at Northwest and found everything well organised. The staff were friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out, and the room was spotless, quiet and very comfortable after a long day. It's in a great location and good value for money. I'd happily recommend it and stay again.

I stay here regularly, and each visit feels lovelier. The location is perfect and the rooms are always very clean. The staff make me feel welcome, especially Callum, who's by far my favourite. We always have a chat when I arrive, and he remembers to ask about my family and work. Nothing is too much trouble for him, and he makes being away from home easier.

The mixed grill was a mess: I asked for my steak medium rare and it came medium well done, the egg was underdone and clear on top, the peas were burnt, and the mushrooms were cold. When I ordered a second beer, its glass smelled of eggs. No one on staff asked how the meal was. The upstairs building's exterior wall also has mould and decaying brickwork, and probably needs replacing. I wouldn't visit again.

The staff were nice and friendly, and I appreciated how slowly and quietly the room doors closed. The basics are there, but finding the car park in the dark was a pain because the lighting and foot markings were poor. The rooms weren't clean enough. It looked as if they'd only had a quick once-over for a long time, and they need a proper clean. We found layers of dust and Maltesers on the floor. I don't understand how the cleaner missed them. There were also cobwebs around the hallway windows that looked like they'd been there since Leicester won the Premier League.
