I've stayed in hundreds of hostels, and this one ranks in my top five. The rooms are a decent size, the showers are good, and the amenities are amazing. There was loads of equipment in the kitchen.

We arrived on the last ferry of the season from Bergen, Norway, and ended up having one of our best vacations. We were invited to local dances, which was such an incredible experience. The atmosphere of the place has stuck with us, and we'd definitely visit again when we get the chance.

The rooms were super clean, and the lounge, kitchen and other shared spaces were comfortable. Bathrooms and showers were clean too. The place is in a great spot for the city centre, and the staff were top notch. Thanks to Grant & Éric for being quick, efficient and welcoming.

After arriving on the overnight ferry from Aberdeen, I walked over to the hostel and left my bags there. Lerwick town centre was less than a five-minute walk away. I didn't use the kitchen, though it looked stocked with what you'd need to make an evening meal. My room and the shared showers were clean and tidy, and I slept without being disturbed. I'd recommend the hostel without hesitation.

A fabulous hostel. I'd happily stay again and recommend it to anyone heading to Shetland.
