We had a nice view of the water from our room, and the reception staff were really friendly. We could help ourselves to more tea and coffee whenever we needed it. The room was basic and looked as if the recent refurbishment had been rushed, but it had what we needed. The city centre’s an easy walk, and there’s plenty of parking for £10 a day. We had a really nice stay and would come back.
The hotel was quiet, and I slept well. My room was clean and tidy, and there’s plenty of parking for just £10 for 24 hours. Breakfast was a tasty, well-cooked buffet. If you want something else, KFC and McDonald’s are across the road. I’d come back.
About 14 of us stayed here as part of a party, and we’d happily return next time we’re in Liverpool. Room 120 looks over the waterway, and the staff working Saturday and Sunday were kind, friendly, and helpful. There was a great choice at breakfast, and it was all very tasty. Thanks to Darren and the whole team!
I’ve stayed in a lot of Travelodges, and this is one of the better ones. The room had what I needed, a very comfy bed, and a lovely view over the water from the window. It was generally clean and quiet when doors weren’t being used. Darren and another front desk staff member whose name I didn’t catch were brilliant, really friendly, and full of local tips. The location on Queens Wharf is fantastic. There’s barely any storage beyond a few hangers. The automatic entrance to the rooms made me uneasy, since anyone could walk in and out, and the doors in the rooms and mid-corridor couldn’t be shut quietly. They banged loudly when I was trying to sleep. Light also came through all the gaps around and under my door, though luckily I’d packed an eye mask. I hadn’t ordered breakfast, so I didn’t appreciate being told the times at check-in, even if the receptionist was just doing their job. Would I stay again? Probably.
We got lovely views of the docks, and the front desk staff member was really pleasant. They’re a credit to Travelodge. The hotel was another story. Parking cost £10 per 24 hours, which feels a bit cheeky when the listing just says “Parking.” The refurbished room looked nice at first, but it needed attention. Stickers on the door frames, sink, and toilet bowl made it look as though it hadn’t been cleaned properly. The bath was awkward too. You couldn’t reach the body wash from it, the handrail was badly placed and made getting up difficult, and the taps weren’t centred or level. Worst of all, the doors slammed constantly, all night and day. We got no sleep, and could also hear the neighbours talking and using the toilet. Thankfully, it was only one night.
