Beach Retreat

A clean, lovely place to stay. We had a nice time there.

The rooms were clean and well equipped, and breakfast was delicious. What really made our stay, though, was how lovely and accommodating the couple running the place were. They spoke Welsh with my husband, which he misses since we moved to England, and even held our baby and sang to him while we finished breakfast. Couldn’t have asked for better service. We’d absolutely stay here again if we’re in the area.

We were working during our stay, and I was happy to get some work done on the sofa in front of the TV. The apartment was spotless and really comfortable, with fresh milk waiting in the fridge and a well appointed, immaculate bathroom. Margaret had upgraded us to the apartment at no extra charge, and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable. Breakfast was a treat too. Margaret’s husband Caradog cooked it, or perhaps they both did, and everything was just right, from the eggs to the fried bread and sausages. We cleared our plates. Caradog was great to chat with, and their adorable dog came in to say hello. A perfect place to stay.

We’d booked a room for the night so we could celebrate our son’s birthday, then went out to see him after picking up the key. When we got back, the owner was there to tell us she’d upgraded us to a beautiful apartment. It had plenty of space and everything we needed to feel comfortable. We paid the original room price, and breakfast the next morning was lovely. I’d definitely recommend this B&B.
