Don't stay here. Right before check-in they demanded a £25 cleaning fee that wasn't mentioned when booking. They say the terms and conditions cover it because they state housekeeping is available for a fee. There was urine on the bathroom floor, and the fire alarm went off for over two hours. The bed was uncomfortable, the pillows smelled stagnant, and the bathrooms were out of service.

I'd avoid this place. The room faced the street and was extremely noisy, with an open wall vent letting all the sound in. It was damp and smelled bad. The bed was unstable and kept creaking, with a very worn, concave mattress barely 10 cm thick. There was also a hidden £25 cleaning fee through OPODO. In the shared toilets, the sink had no running water, the shower door was difficult to open even though it closed, and the electric heater didn't work. An endless list of problems. Definitely not recommended.

The place was terrible, and the cleaning fee was hidden during booking. They threatened to kick you out if you didn't pay it, and if you tried to get the extra fee refunded through your bank, they'd do the same thing. I wish I could give it zero stars. The self check-in and check-out were easy, with clear, simple instructions, and I'd be glad to return. The apartments are in a good area, within walking distance of the city centre. There are only two rooms on each floor, with a shared bathroom on every floor. The house is quite old, so the doors and stairs creak. But our room and bathroom were in great condition, clean, nice, and cosy. Having a well-equipped kitchen in the room was really handy.
