We’ve just been to the restaurant since it reopened, and we’ll be back. The mixed grill looked as good as it tasted, and the menu was nice, with good beer and fair prices. The host and staff were attentive and helpful. They’d arranged the dining area sensibly around the current restrictions, but it still felt friendly and comfortable. Service was excellent.

Really enjoyed the food. The portions were generous and the quality was superb. Service was a little slow the other day, but they warned us beforehand: they’re still building the business and clearly had a small kitchen crew. Don’t let that put you off, it’s the kind of food you’re happy to wait for. The new managers are friendly and welcoming, and the place is clean and well appointed, with lovely seating inside and outdoors. They also have attractive holiday cottages.

Rory, Emily and the staff made us feel very well looked after during our one-night stay at the Cresswell Arms. The room was cosy and comfortable, with everything we needed, including a TV, brew kit and water. We really enjoyed dinner: the bavette streak, burger and chocolate tart were delicious. Breakfast was just as good, and the service was excellent throughout. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay and would happily return. Getting between the room, pub and dining area was easy, and my gluten-free diet wasn’t a problem. It was nice to stay somewhere with more character than a hotel chain. Fresh milk in a china jug, with china cups and saucers, was a lovely touch. The hosts made us feel very welcome and brought whatever we asked for with a smile. It’s a lovely location, and we’ve already recommended it to family and friends. Thank you, and we wish you every success.

My girlfriend and I had a great stay and would certainly come back. The cosy room was warm and comfortable, and the pub had a lovely countryside feel. We had some great evenings chatting over drinks. Breakfast and dinner were both fantastic. Service was great too, with friendly, attentive managers, owners and staff.
