Mike's level of service and commitment really stood out. There’s a tricky short stretch of road on foot to and from Avebury, and he kindly offered me a lift so I could get to the stones and the start of my walk. I stayed here for one night at the beginning of a Ridgeway walk and wish I could have stayed much longer. I measured all my other overnight stops against Dorwyn Manor's very high standards. This really is an exceptional place to stay, highly recommended.

Mike went out of his way to make us feel welcome, even booking us a table at an excellent local pub/restaurant for dinner. The family room was perfect for our family of three, and breakfast was nicely presented and freshly prepared. A peaceful place to stay, with Avebury's ancient stone circles within walking distance.

The hosts were warm and welcoming, and the rooms were spotless and clearly cared for. It’s a great base for visiting Avebury and the nearby sites. Breakfast was lovely too.

The lift into the village for dinner was a real help, especially after dark with no pavement and fast cars on the road. The husband and wife who run the place were friendly and helpful, and everything, including my room, was spotless and beautifully decorated. I was glad to find the library when I’d forgotten my Kindle and needed a book. The fan was useful during the heatwave, too. A great place to stay at the start of the Ridgeway.

After watching the Lionesses bring the Cup home, we had a lot of fun in the games room with its pool table. The hosts were friendly and helpful, even replacing our broken TV, and breakfast was lovely. It’s very good value, especially for a place in a village as small as Avebury. Lovelyjubbly.
