The breakfast buffet had a really good choice, and everyone working there was friendly and smiling. My room was clean and comfortable, and I slept very well. The shower could have been stronger, but it did the job. It’s not a glamorous place, though for what I paid for two nights it was good value. I’d stay at the Baltimore Hotel again next time I’m in Middlesbrough. A solid 8/10 👌

We had a lovely evening meal, and that burger was honestly one of the best I’ve tasted. Daniel served us so nicely. The room was clean, and breakfast was lovely too. From the moment we arrived, reception and the rest of the staff were welcoming and friendly. We’ll definitely stay again and recommend it to others. A****

The location was handy, near the town centre, convenience shops, two Tesco supermarkets and lots of places to eat along Linthorpe Road. Staff were friendly and gave good service. Secure locks on the room doors and a 24/7 reception helped me feel safer, although the main reception entrance itself didn’t feel very safe. My room was just acceptable, with dirt around the bathtub and bath mat, a low hanging light fitting and very creaky floorboards. Another room had a broken curtain and a strong smell of alcohol. I wouldn’t choose this for a city break, but for a one-night business stay when convenience matters, I’d pick it as somewhere to crash.

I stayed here because I needed somewhere close by while visiting my husband in hospital, and the location was perfect. The friendly smiles meant a lot to me, even though the staff didn’t know my circumstances. The young woman serving breakfast was so pleasant and accommodating. The cooked breakfast was good, with boiled eggs available, and they made fried eggs to order when I asked. There was tea and coffee in the room, and someone offered me a hot drink in the lobby when I arrived. My standard double was clean and the bed was comfortable, but the room was very small, with little space to walk around the bed. There was a framed shelved unit for storage and hanging clothes, plus a separate shower and toilet. It was enough for what I needed. The hotel looked fresh and smelled lovely, and there were nice seating areas inside and outside. Bigger rooms were available, but if you just want a comfortable bed for the night, this one is ideal.

The staff are friendly, polite and seem really passionate about their jobs. Breakfast is buffet style, with a full English, toast and continental choices. Parking is good and doesn’t cost extra, and my favourite thing was the Rijo coffee machine. There’s a great location near the city centre, with an amazing Indian restaurant just across the road and a gym down the street.
