The Assembly House

The best part was how thoughtful everyone was. The staff were attentive and kind, and Jane at Reception helped us when we arrived. For my 30th birthday, they even surprised us with a candle and cake on the afternoon tea platter. The Beauty and the Beast themed tea was delicious, with so much food that we took some home, and breakfast the next morning was lovely too. We stayed in room 8 for our first visit, with prosecco, breakfast and afternoon tea included. It was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Thanks, Assembly House, for a perfect stay. We'll be back!

That candlelit violin performance was the highlight for us. With the candles glowing and the music playing, the evening felt intimate and really special. The Assembly House in Norfolk is a beautiful venue, full of historic character and a sense of elegance from the moment you arrive. The team were welcoming, professional and attentive, and everything ran smoothly. It felt refined while still being comfortable, a lovely place to unwind and enjoy a memorable experience. We'll absolutely return. If you're after history, beauty and a distinctive experience in one place, this is worth a visit.

We had our wedding here in November 2025, and they were able to host the whole day, from the ceremony through to the reception. Gemma, Assembly House's wedding manager, guided us through everything and contacted our suppliers to coordinate deliveries and collection of equipment and decorations. The team took so much of the pressure off on the day, and we're grateful for all they did to help make it the best day possible. Whether you're planning a wedding or staying for a night or two, Assembly House offers great quality and value.

The Beauty and the Beast afternoon tea was fantastic, with food that clearly suited the theme. The staff were friendly and made me feel special on my birthday. My one complaint is that the toilets weren't as clean as I'd expect at a venue like this.
