Grange House Bed & Breakfast

We were lucky to spend four nights here. The hosts were fantastic and so welcoming, the room was beautiful, and I slept really well. Breakfast was delicious, too. Looking forward to coming back.

The views on the drive up were beautiful, with rolling hills stretching as far as you could see. Kevin greeted us at the door, and I immediately felt we’d found a lovely place. He and Annmarie are experienced hosts, warm and friendly, with plenty of knowledge about the area and an easy way of chatting. They went above and beyond. Our rooms were clean, airy and spacious, with gorgeous views and thoughtful touches that made the B&B feel personal. Breakfast was filling and had lots to choose from. We had a fabulous stay and would absolutely recommend this beautiful, treasured B&B.

A comfortable bed, a clean, well-sized room and everything we needed. The hosts were also very welcoming to our dog and to all of us. They were lovely, friendly and eager to help, from carrying our bags to asking how we wanted our eggs and bacon cooked. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. There’s a green in front of the property, and the dead-end road is very quiet, which was handy for taking the dog out. The hosts recommended a short walk to the woods, so we went early one morning and really enjoyed it. This B&B is a real gem.

After staying in B&Bs around the country for 40 years, I’d say this is the best. Kevin was a wonderful host and nothing was too much trouble, even looking after the plants we bought at Blue Diamond Garden Centre. The location, room, decor and cleanliness were all lovely, and breakfast was a highlight. We hope to be back as soon as possible to explore more of this lovely part of the country, including the Great Central Railway.
