The pub was clean and nicely decorated. Parking is a little tight and up a steep hill. I didn't use the toilets, so can't comment on those. I went today for the fish and chip special and left very satisfied. The food was nice, the portion was good, and the chips were proper home-cooked ones. The kids' meal was much the same, and even the chicken nuggets seemed made in-house rather than taken from a packet.

We shared buffalo chicken wings to start, then my husband had a burger and I went for the seafood linguine in white wine sauce. Everything was tasty, fresh, hot and a good size. First visit, and it was absolutely lovely. We'll definitely come again.

My son and I had tea at the old ship, and the food was amazing. The staff were fantastic, polite and professional. Thank you all!

The prices were very reasonable, and the service was brilliant with really friendly staff. I went yesterday just after it opened. We had soup and chicken strips to start, then sausage and mash and lasagna. All of it was delicious, and we'll be back very soon.

I grew up in the village and have just moved back nearby after 15 years overseas, so it was great to see this pub back to where it should be. We had dinner with friends and a few drinks last night. The food is home-cooked and reasonably priced, the staff are friendly, and the service is awesome. Definitely coming back.
