Rooms @ Number Six

The proprietor was kind and helpful, and the rooms were spotless with excellent facilities. It’s right in the centre, handy for everything in Oakham, and was an ideal place to stay. A wonderful find, highly recommended.

Alison was warm and accommodating, and the breakfast supplies were good quality with plenty to eat. The room was spacious, modern and very clean, with a comfortable bed and a good night’s sleep. The bathroom had lots of linen, a heated towel rack and an excellent shower. It’s an easy walk to the station, grocery stores and high street shops, with plenty of places to eat nearby. This hidden gem is easy to find and made for a wonderful stay. I’d highly recommend booking here if you’re in the Oakham area.

Alison was quick and helpful with messages, and her instructions for finding the room and parking were clear. It’s tucked off a little courtyard that was busy in the afternoon, though quiet when we returned in the evening. The room was spotless and had everything we needed, including a little kitchen with a full-size fridge, microwave and kettle. There was plenty of tea and coffee, plus cereal, croissants, yogurt, juice and milk for breakfast. The bathroom was spotless too, with a good shower, plenty of towels and shower wash. There was also a handy folder of local information. It’s an ideal base for exploring the area, and we’d stay again if we were back in this part of the country. Oakham is a lovely little town, and this was a perfect place to stay.

I arranged the stay as part of a treasure hunt surprise for my dad and stepmum’s anniversary. I had a lot of random questions for Alison, and she did her best with every one of them to help make it work. Thanks so much, Alison. They had a great time.
