Dimple Well Lodge Hotel

The room itself wasn't properly tidy, which was a real problem given my skin allergies. There were spider webs everywhere and I saw a large spider in the room. I'd asked through Booking.com for a double bed because I'm a larger guest and wanted basic comfort, as well as a tidy room. I was later told in writing that this had been approved with “no extra charge.” At check-in, though, the receptionist demanded more money for that same request. His manner was aggressive and intimidating, and he made the situation confrontational instead of dealing with it professionally. The hotel could have clarified or refused my request before I arrived, but changed its position only once I was there, when my options were limited. I use Booking.com often and rarely complain, but this was upsetting and unacceptable. Customers deserve honesty, respectful service and cleanliness, especially when the platform has confirmed something in writing. I won't stay here again.

The rooms were comfortable, and the staff were so lovely about helping with everything we needed. We had such a peaceful, romantic night here, and it's a beautiful place to stay. Thanks to everyone who looked after us. We'll be back next month.

Marcus and the staff were amazing, and the food and decor were both fantastic. From arranging our wedding day through to the end, everything was perfect. Couldn't have asked for a better day. Thank you so much.

Didn't stay in a room, as luckily this little gem is close by. Had a lovely Sunday lunch, with excellent service. 100% recommend.
