There’s no parking, and the Park and Ride was a 20-minute walk away. We left our luggage in the room at 9am while we fetched the car, as checkout was at 10, and got back at 9:25. Our room door was wide open and a woman was cleaning around our belongings, opening drawers and pulling off covers. We got out quickly. If checkout is at 10, don’t come in at 9. Even if you think guests have left, seeing their things should make it clear they haven’t. The only way you’d know we’d gone was by looking through the letterbox. People outside can see you sleeping through it, with no cover or privacy. Imagine getting out of the shower and being watched. This was a serious security issue and poor conduct from the owners. Avoid.

We were in town to take an exam, and the hosts, Andrew and his wife, were really friendly and accommodating. They helped us with everything we needed, and the room had a huge study table that was marvellous for us. We spent the whole day studying there without needing a cafe or library, since what we needed was already provided. Tea and coffee were complimentary, and the hosts were lovely and very generous. They also have a lovely puppy who likes being petted :) The city centre is a 20-minute walk away. There’s a Tesco two blocks away, as well as some pubs. We had a great experience and will definitely come back!

It was clean and well equipped, though a TV would have been handy since it rained every evening. The city centre and other amenities were an easy walk away. The nearby parks and river paths must be lovely in summer.

Such friendly faces and lovely service. My one-year-old loved it, and they offered us a cot bed, though our bed was big enough, so we didn’t need one. It had a warm, homely feel with a lovely touch of class. I’d come back. My only personal preference would be a firmer mattress.
