We found this place during the university open days, when other accommodation was hard to find and expensive, and it turned out to be a great find. It's a well-kept, family-run hotel, not far from the university colleges, with a private car park, useful since you need a permit to park on the surrounding streets. I got a very friendly welcome. The room was nice, with an en-suite bathroom, kettle, and tea and coffee. Breakfast isn't included, but there's a coffee shop a short walk away, and plenty of places to eat in Oxford city centre.

The room was spotless and well equipped, and the bed was really comfortable. It stayed warm and quiet, too. There's a handy little car park and it was easy to find. The welcome was warm and friendly. I was a bit nervous beforehand and wondered if it might be like Fawlty Towers, but I had that completely wrong. A great budget option in Oxford, highly recommended.

The receptionist was veery friendly, and I slept really well despite hearing plenty of street noise, including ambulances and horns. My room was cosy, the bathroom was flawless, and I appreciated having a fan, tea and digestive cookies. The fan rattled quite a lot, though, so I had to rig it up a bit. I'd stay again.

I stayed here after going to Emofest, and the location was great for Oxford 02. The bed was comfy and the amenities were spot on, especially the YORKSHIRE TEA!! The shower, though, was unbelievably hot, with only one temperature available that day. Apart from that, it was a perfect little stay.

I was travelling solo and stayed one night in late Apr 25. The room had most of what I needed, though there was no refrigerator, and parking was free. Oxford City Center is about 1.8 miles away, where you'll find sights including Christ Church and Bodleian Library. Walking there takes around 20 to 25 minutes. Groceries, local pubs, and Fish & Chips shops are all along the same street, about a 5-8 minute walk away. Remember to ask for a quiet room when booking. Recommended.
