The garden suite was lovely, with everything taken care of, right down to having our bed made. Breakfast was excellent and nothing was missing. The owners remembered our names and what we liked to drink each morning, which was remarkable. The place is tucked down a quiet lane, with peaceful large gardens and an orchard to wander around. I’d highly recommend it.

Breakfast was delicious and generous each morning. I have to remember that prunes soaked in Earl Grey tea and triple sec take the humble prune to another level. We’ll try that at home! The room had everything we needed, with thoughtful details and plenty of snacks. I especially appreciated the bottles of local Mantle Brewery beer in the well stocked mini-bar. We were warmly welcomed by Kathryn and Richard, along with their adorable cockapoo Pip. The gardens and orchard are beautifully kept and made for such a peaceful break that we ended up staying in both evenings. We left feeling completely rested, and can’t wait to return. Thank you for making such a welcoming, relaxing haven.

The hosts were wonderful and looked after us and our young child so well. It’s a lovely rural setting, but only a couple of miles from some great pubs. We enjoyed it so much that we’ve booked a week for the summer.

We loved chatting with Kathrine and hearing about Penbrontbren, their family and pets. She and Richard made us feel completely at home, and Pip the dog won me over straight away. Thanks to them and the hardworking team behind the scenes for making our holiday special. We hope to be back soon. Our little holiday house was cute and had everything we could need. Richard paused his garden work to show us in and explain how things worked. The kitchenette was handy for drinks, with a coffee machine, kettle, tea and coffee. There were wines and beers in the fridge, snacks on the counter and a microwave. We also enjoyed a lovely view over the gardens while washing up. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. There was a good hair dryer, an iron and board, a cupboard for clothes, and a nice bathroom with a good sized shower and a cute little wash bowl. The cosy lounge had a radio, a small TV, a sofa and armchairs. One night we had a really delicious meal made by their chef. The gardens, woods and fields beyond were beautiful, with a croquet lawn and a river at the bottom of the garden. The dining room was stunning, just a short stroll from our room, with crisp white tablecloths and silver service at its best. There were cereals, lovely fruit, porridge, prunes and fruit juice, then a menu of meat, fish and gluten free dishes, all served by Kathrine. Toast, jams and lots of lovely tea or coffee rounded it off.

Beautiful setting, lovely suites and a really tasty breakfast. A very impressive property.
