Katie came by on my arrival day with milk and a cake, and checked that everything was all right. Such a nice touch. The hut was cosy, with a log fire, plenty of wood, and no drafts. It had everything I needed for a relaxed, comfortable recharge. The bath hut looked amazing, though the weather didn't cooperate this time. I'd come back, whether solo, as a couple, or with family.

The loch views are breathtaking, and there's lots of room for kids to run around. Ours loved feeding the chickens and collecting their eggs. Kate was so welcoming, and the fresh cake when we arrived was a lovely touch. She also gave my five year old a farm tour, which he absolutely loved. The huts at Craigduckie Shepherds Huts were clean, practical and well stocked. I'd highly recommend a peaceful stay here for couples or families with children.
We booked the cabin with the outdoor twin tubs and had such a lovely soak in the hot water, listening to the sheep and taking in the surroundings. The breakfast basket was full of delicious food, enough for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Cooking was fun too, with a BBQ outside and a stove and oven indoors. The boys also went fishing at a nearby fishing farm and caught dinner, and Dunfermline is close for shopping. We only stayed two nights and wished we had booked longer. My 8 year old and 2 year old loved the freedom and open space at Craigduckie Farm, and being there made it easy to unwind. As a city girl, I wasn't sure about a farm stay, but it turned out to be the most beautiful one. The cabins were clean and comfortable, and being set on gravel meant no muddy shoes coming in and out. Katie and her lovely family were so friendly and gave us a wonderful tour of the farm. It's a beautiful place our family will talk about for years.
The country setting felt like a proper escape, peaceful, with lovely views and plenty to explore nearby. We were lucky to visit at the end of May and meet the lambs. Katie was so welcoming, and the huts are beautifully finished and really comfortable. She has thought of every detail. Would love to stay again, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
We had a lovely few relaxing days at Craigduckie shepherds huts, and the owners even accommodated a last minute change for us. The hut was comfortable and very well equipped, with cosy beds and covers, a powerful shower, and everything very clean. The kids kept checking whether the hens outside had laid eggs. There were lots of thoughtful touches, including delicious cake. The wood burning stove looked so inviting that we almost hoped for colder weather so we could light it. It'd be perfect when the days cool down.
