I felt very welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. The facilities were great, and the food was lovely and plentiful. I'll definitely return and recommend it to anyone visiting Penrith.

The guest house had a nice clean room and some original features, or at least it felt that way. My room had a modern bathroom with a shower only. I didn't make it down for breakfast, but they lent me a phone charger when I'd forgotten mine. I'd definitely stay again.

We use this accommodation regularly. Over the Bank Holiday weekend, two groups of cyclists from Pedal Power Cycling Ltd stayed at the Glendale, one group of three men and another of seven. They told us the rooms and breakfasts were great, and that they were well looked after throughout their stays. Consistently good. Many thanks.

Ann looked after me from the minute I arrived to when I left, and her hospitality made me feel completely at ease. I stayed just one night, slept comfortably and had an excellent breakfast in the morning. It was great value too. One of the nicest guest house stays I've had, and I'll choose it whenever I'm in Penrith.

Our host Anne was friendly and helpful, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. It's a charming Victorian home, beautifully kept and spotlessly clean.
