Solstice

We’ve already booked again for next year, so we clearly enjoyed the stay. The quay was great fun, with lots of places to eat and drink, lovely boats to look at, boat trips and summer fireworks on Thursdays. Sandbanks and its beaches were surprisingly close too. The house was high quality and had nearly everything we could want. We were a family of six, aged 12 to 69, and the four bedrooms worked well. Having an ensuite in every room was a bonus, with no morning queue before heading to the beach. Poole town and quay were both an easy walk, around 10 minutes at most, and Aldi and Sainsbury’s were within five minutes. The reason for four stars was the heat. With the windows open, traffic noise from the road right by the house bothered us in the lounge and main bedroom. Also, a four-bedroom house with only one parking permit was inconvenient. Our daughter’s family had to find another space a reasonable distance away, at a reasonable cost.
