We found on-street parking easily, and Richmond is a nice area. The stay was good value and generally lovely. Breakfast had a good range of options, which was welcome over our four nights. The bed was probably the most comfortable I’ve slept in, with nice linen. The room was a bit dark, though we only used it to sleep, and there was a lovely garden area just outside the window. We asked for fresh towels on day three and a few more toilet rolls; they sorted it easily, and it wasn’t a big deal.

We arrived early while walking the Coast to Coast, and our room was already ready. The receptionist was lovely, and even did our laundry for a very small fee. The room was a good size and had a nice little patio; the bathroom was spacious and clean. Breakfast was very good, and the staff were super friendly. It’s perfectly placed for continuing the walk. I’d definitely recommend it.

After a long day on my Coast to Coast walk, this was a lovely place to unwind and sleep. Richmond is a lovely town, and the hosts were great. The rooms seemed recently decorated and were immaculate, with a standard you might expect at a 5 Star hotel. Breakfast was really nice and generous. The friendly staff also gave me useful tips about Richmond, including where to eat and what to do.

Our room was ready when we arrived around 2 pm, which was a nice surprise since we’d expected to just leave our backpacks. Mika (?) at reception was very friendly and helpful, and made us feel welcome. We gave her a bag of laundry, and it was washed and dry before we went out for dinner that evening. Room #7 was one of the most spacious we had on the C2C, clean and nicely furnished, with a small terrace we unfortunately didn’t have time to use. The bathroom was just as big, with a shower and bath combined, which could be nice after a day’s walk. Very recommendable!

Carol in the breakfast room was such a terrific host. She took care of everything we needed, kept our tea and coffee topped up, brought extra toast, and we had a lovely laugh with her each morning. We booked two nights at this B&B and it was even better than advertised. The room was lovely, with crisp clean bedding, a large mirror that spread the light around, and a seat by the window looking across the green. There was a gorgeous selection of herbal and black teas, coffee and biscuits. We shared a bathroom with another room and had no problem with that. It was clean and well kept, with toilet paper always available and soft, fluffy towels supplied in our room. The reception staff welcomed us, took care of the paperwork and payment, and showed us to the room. We had an amazing visit and hope to return. Thanks from the two who forgot to return the key but fitted a light bulb (haha) x
