Amy and David made us feel very welcome. The hotel was lovely, the room cosy and very nice, and we enjoyed the breakfast too. We had a lovely couple of days visiting Rothesay and will be back. Thanks, Amy and David.

I’ve just had a short break at this small hotel in Rothesay. Our lovely room looked out over the sea and Rothesay bay and had a balcony. Amy and Dave, the owners, were a friendly, lovely couple. There’s a small bar inside, plus outdoor seating for good weather.

Dave and Amy make you feel so welcome. It’s a really relaxing place to be, and the comfortable hotel and rooms have that easy, at home feeling. The front room facing the sea has gorgeous scenery, and the beer garden has awesome views too. Breakfast is spectacular, comforting and filling, served on super hot plates. In the evening, Dave and Amy host the pub in fine fashion, with a huge range of drinks and a lovely chance to meet visitors and locals. After our boat trip, Dave had taken photos of us arriving from the hotel and printed them out. Such a thoughtful, kind surprise from wonderful hosts. We really enjoyed our stay at Summer's Bay Hotel and highly recommend it.

My partner and I really enjoyed our time at Summer's Bay. Dave and Amy are the best kind of people to stay with, and their generosity touched us, as did the beautiful sights and people of Bute. A great place to stay on the island. 5/5

Parking outside was easy, and the place is close to the ferry, public transport and everything we needed in town. Amy and David made it feel so relaxing and welcoming. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well equipped, and breakfast was generous and superb. They even went out to find special ingredients for us as vegetarians. We'd happily visit Summers Bay again, and I really recommend it.
