We visited the Isle of Wight for the first time with our two children and stayed at The Kenbury. The family room, made up of two linked rooms, was spacious and worked really well for us. Staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast had a good mix of cooked and uncooked choices. There’s an EV charger in the car park, so we could conveniently charge overnight. The cooked breakfast sometimes took around 30-45 minutes, which could be inconvenient if you’re waiting without ordering anything else.

A friendly little B&B with great staff, clean and tidy rooms, and a good breakfast selection of hot and cold options. Parking is a bit restricted, though you can park on the road outside. I’d definitely recommend it and choose it again.

We came back for a second stay and were just as happy with the warm welcome and great breakfast, which has plenty of menu choices. The room was reasonable and the bed comfortable. The main part of Shanklin, where the pubs and restaurants are, is about a 20-minute walk away. That distance could mean needing to drive and pay for parking if you’re less mobile.

I slept well here, helped by the quiet part of Shanklin and a comfortable bed. The town centre is only a few minutes away. My room was excellent, with clean decor and good furniture, and breakfast was as good as you could wish for on all three days. Paul and Paolo were helpful and enthusiastic about the island, their business and their guests, and offered advice on places to visit. I’ll definitely return. Thanks.

The Kenbury is good value, with clean rooms, friendly service and lovely breakfasts. The car park filled up at times, but it was easy enough to leave the car on the road. It’s not right by the beach, though it isn’t far, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Shanklin or the Isle of Wight.
