Premier Inn Sheffield - Arena

The location was fantastic for the Arena event I came up for. You just cross the road to get there, and parking, while paid, costs less than at the arena. My room had recently been refurbished and was lovely, with a good bed and shower. The hotel delivered on the simple things, including a great breakfast, and the staff were brilliant. The small bar has a good drinks selection. Breakfast is standard PI, good food with enough choice and good value. It cost a bit more than usual because of the event, but it was super convenient. I've stayed before and will again. Thanks.

Caitlin and Katy greeted us when we arrived and helped sort out a problem checking in with my Denit Card. They booked a table for our evening meal for 3 guests, then looked after us during dinner and with drinks afterwards. I was travelling with two disabled people who needed extra pillows, and Caitlin and Kate were very helpful and polite. Nothing was too much trouble for them. They deserve high praise for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable, and they're a credit to the hotel.

Premier Plus rooms were spotless, quiet, and exactly right, and the staff were consistently friendly. If you find one at a fair price, I'd recommend staying. The arrival is less appealing: the car park feels cramped, though there are more spaces around the back. People were smoking by the front entrance, its handle was broken, and check-in happens at the bar. Parking also costs extra.

The location is hard to beat if you're going to an event at the arena, and the service was excellent. The food was good too. I've stayed at plenty of Premier Inns over the years, and standards can vary, even though the bed is always comfortable and the room quiet. This one is a Plus, and the higher standard showed. I came away pleasantly surprised and would recommend it.
