The Merrydale Hotel

The owners and staff were welcoming and friendly, and you can come and go as you please. We had a decent-sized room with a sink in the bedroom and the toilet and shower separate. You could hear certain things through the walls, if you get my drift, though maybe she was just being noisy. Breakfast was nice, even if they burnt the toast. We ended up laughing about it, and the banter was a fun way to start the day. There’s a nice communal lounge, and it’s less than a five-minute walk to the beach. Parking is limited to about three cars on the drive; after that, it’s roadside on a one-way street with very few spaces. It does what it says, a bed for the night. We had a good night.

The Merry Dale Hotel was lovely, and the staff were welcoming and polite. The rooms were very clean and tidy. Breakfast was included, with a choice of full English, toast, or cereal. I was also offered an en-suite upgrade for a very small extra charge. I’ll definitely stay here again.

We’ve stayed here four times now and bring more people along each visit. It’s a lovely hotel with great food, lovely people, and it suits us perfectly as a dog-friendly place. Thanks, Trevor & Suzanne.

We’ve just got back from a weekend here, and I agree with the previous comments. The owners are really friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean, and breakfast is lovely. It’s dog-friendly and handy for central Skegness. We’ll definitely come back.
