The property is just a two-minute walk from the pier, on a lovely quiet street, and parking is right outside. Mick was very friendly and helpful when checking us in. The room was spotless, with a fresh hospitality tray each day. We were there over the Jubilee Bank Holiday, and everything was excellent from arrival onwards. Breakfast was beautiful, with plenty of care and no scrimping. The spotless dining room had a very good range of cereals and breads to choose from, and the cooked breakfast was gorgeous. I work in catering, and nothing was too much trouble. A hidden gem, and we'll definitely come back.

The little touches made this stay with our two young boys feel special. Since we'd booked ahead and mentioned them, drinks had been left in the room for the children. Everything was fresh and spotless, from the bedding to the nicely decorated room, and the beds were comfortable enough for all of us to sleep well. Mick greeted us warmly and looked after us throughout. Breakfast was freshly cooked, with plenty of cereal too. The hotel is close to the beach, amusements and entertainment. We’ve stayed at plenty of B&Bs and hotels around Skegness and Ingoldmells over the last ten years, and Thornwell Villa is our favourite. We’re picky, and we’d happily make it our first choice next time. Thanks to Mick for the hospitality.

The landlord and landlady were kind and helpful, and we had a lovely two-night stay in a ground-floor twin room. As I’m disabled, not having to use stairs was a relief. There was also a place to park my mobility scooter overnight and charge its battery. The room was nice, and we’d stay again when we’re in Skegness. The shower was tricky, though. It took a while to get going, and I couldn’t switch it off, so my friend had to do that. Some instructions for turning it on and off would have helped.

Michael and Yvonne were lovely hosts. The guesthouse is peaceful and well placed in Skegness, close to all the amenities. The rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated, and breakfast was delicious. You can see the care they put into the details.

We got a warm welcome when we arrived last night. The room was simple but clean and comfortable, and the facilities were good. Breakfast was hearty and tasty, just right before we headed off. Very good value, and I’d certainly stay again.
