OYO Baylis House Hotel

The team helped us get a thooni set up for our Lohri party at Baylis House on Saturday, and safely attended to the fire through the evening. That made the celebration feel authentic and special. The décor and theme were spot on, there was plenty of room to move around, and the music set a great atmosphere. Guests also really enjoyed the tea station outside. Planning was seamless, from our first conversation about options through to the night itself. The staff made everything easy and stress-free. Paul and Hamzah deserve a special mention. They went above and beyond, kept things running smoothly, and looked after our guests. The food was fantastic, with lots of choices for vegetarians, meat eaters, and kids, so everyone found something they liked. Being able to choose dry hire and bring our own alcohol was a big advantage, with no unexpected or inflated bar charges at the end. Baylis House offers a lovely setting, high standards, great service, and a sensible price. I'd highly recommend it for a memorable event.

I wouldn't recommend this wedding venue. The parking system didn't send me an email confirmation, and I ended up with a ticket. Staff first told me to contact building management, but when I asked for the number, they said they didn't have one. I emailed events@bailyes house and haven't had a reply either. They said they hold other functions without this sort of problem. It seems unreasonable to expect their system to keep up with registering that many guests, and at a hotel you'd expect ANPR to be turned off. I hope this helps anyone deciding whether to validate their car.

The staff were excellent and really helpful, and there was plenty of parking. I arrived after 23:00, when the restaurant was already closed, so hopefully I can try the food next time. I got more than I paid for with a double bed instead of a single, and I really enjoyed the big bed. The bathroom was nice and spacious. The room carpet could use a deep clean, and the socket beside the bed wouldn't charge my phone, which is essential when travelling. Good location and price. I'll be back.

We held an event in late December, and all our guests enjoyed it. The food was excellent, and the room was very nice and well heated. Mr Paul and the management team were extremely helpful and accommodating.
