The pub was a great place to go after the Minster event, and the bar staff made it feel lively and welcoming. My room was clean, neat and comfortable, and breakfast was lovely and just as described. This was my third stay at The Crown Hotel, and its location worked perfectly for my visit to Southwell. I'm already looking forward to coming back.

A cracking range behind the bar and a quick, helpful team made this a really good visit. It has the buzz of a proper village pub, but still feels easygoing and friendly as soon as you walk in. We felt comfortable straight away. We'll definitely return.

The Crown has a warm, friendly feel now, and it's better than it's been in years. Since Merv took over and Tamara left, things have improved 1000%. The guys are great, the beer's always good, and there are pool and darts to play. Anyone who stopped going should give it another visit soon.

We were after a place with a good atmosphere and found just that. The bar person was polite and friendly, and the service was quick with affordable prices. The decor looked fresh and modern, and we got a very warm welcome from the man behind the bar. It was clean too. We'll come back.

The rooms were a really good size and had what we needed, with comfortable beds and lovely clean sheets. There was a great spread of breads, pastries, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cold meats and cheese for continental breakfast. Our group of nine stayed at The Crown after going to the 80’s Candlelight Concert at The Minster. The host was fantastic, the atmosphere was great, and nothing was too much trouble. We'll definitely be back.
