Being four hours from home as a lone woman, I ended up sleeping in my car in a car park. It was a bank holiday, so I couldn't find another place to stay, and I felt vulnerable. I was told to leave for no reason, then accused of abusing staff, which never happened. They also refused to refund my money. I'll be taking this further. The manager/owner was rude and not at all nice to me. When I asked for my money back, he said he doubted it and that he was out with his mates. I found the whole thing very unprofessional, and was deeply offended that he implied I'd been aggressive with his staff. I've never experienced anything like this. I would never be rude to anyone.

The noise kept me from sleeping. The sink's waste pipe gurgled several times during the night, and despite double glazing, the room was disturbed by boy racers and motorcyclists revving around the busy roundabout. I had a lot of driving to do the next day. I was put in a very basic single room that seemed damp, and the single quilt barely fitted the bed. The toilet and shower were shared across the hall, and it wasn't pleasant hearing the person in the next room on the toilet. The new TV only received BBC. My company booked this stay, but after spending at least four nights a week in accommodation over the past two years, this was the worst B&B or hotel I've stayed in. I wouldn't recommend it.

We had a comfortable night here before going to the Eden project. The family room was divided so the kids could sleep separately from the parents. Breakfast was cooked to order, with a vegetarian option, and the accommodation did what we needed.

I had a really good few months working in St Austell and staying at the Trevanion Lodge. It was a friendly place and well placed for getting around, so it was a great time.

It's clean and the staff are friendly, and the rooms are OK. Still, this won't suit everyone, and I wouldn't bring kids here.
