The garden made the next morning especially memorable. We had breakfast there for 20 people, with lots of seats and umbrellas, after a hot, sunny wedding day spent outside. The grounds are lovely, with great views for photos and a safe place for the children to play. Every member of staff put in 110% and seemed to think of everything. The food was really tasty, and everyone helped make it a fabulous weekend. Thank you.

Such a beautiful spot in the Kent countryside for a meal out as a couple. It has the atmosphere of a proper British pub, with a great range of pub food, all delicious and served by really friendly staff. The landlady was especially kind and polite, and the Guinness was excellent. I’d happily recommend it for a good meal and a lovely pub evening.

After a fantastic 8 mile circular walk through the countryside, we had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Plough. The staff were great, really friendly, and there was a lovely pint of Goachers. The roast beef was great and the fish and chips were top class. I had apple crumble, while Gem chose sticky toffee pudding with marmalade ice cream. Nothing fancy or pretentious, just very high quality. Highly recommended. 😎

Those walks right outside are stunning, and there’s a thoughtful choice of beers and wines waiting for when you get back. We stayed in July 2024, sorry this review is late, and had a fantastic time. The food was great, and the pub feels like a real centre of its local community. If you want a cute pub to spend the night, I’d definitely stay here.
