The owner was very nice. Brian and I stayed in the small loft conversion above the garage. It was self-catering only, comfortable, nicely furnished and warm. We would have preferred the main gorgeous house, but unfortunately there wasn't a room available on the days we needed.

The hotel has beautiful scenery, which made our stay memorable. Breakfast was included in what we paid, with different options to choose from, and the owner served fresh breakfast and tea. I'd highly recommend it. I was a bit skeptical after reading earlier reviews and was kind of dreading the stay. I agree the owner may not come across as super welcoming, but she wasn't rude to us at all and made sure we had everything we needed.

The host was so kind and attentive, and the place was clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful time, and the location was great.

The location was lovely, but the rooms felt a little tired. I didn’t get a warm welcome, and at breakfast I felt more like a nuisance than a paying guest. The host didn’t seem to have much in the way of people skills and only really engaged when she wanted information about her upcoming trip.

Our room was just what we needed after the long drive, cosy and clean, and the grounds were beautiful. Amanda greeted us with a smile, showed us around a little, and was lovely about our late arrival after traffic delayed us. Breakfast was delicious, with freshly prepared hot food, plenty of choice, great coffee and juice. We hadn’t expected quite so much. Thanks so much, Amanda. I really hope we can come back one day! Xx
