The pool itself was great for kids, warm and brilliant, with clean changing and shower facilities. On our first visit everything seemed fine. On the second, though, a man lay on a lounger with only a towel on. When he opened his legs, his genitals were clearly visible from the pool, where there were five children at the time. He also seemed to be filming the pool on his phone. We reported it; staff spoke to him about the phone, but he denied filming and kept holding it up towards the pool. They didn't seem to address him being naked under the towel. Another parent said they'd seen him lying naked in the sauna and parading around the changing rooms nude in front of children. Some nudity in changing rooms is expected, but this felt really wrong. I wish staff had asked him to leave, or at least put some pants on. Aside from that man, we had a great stay. We were there one night to visit blists hill, and the location was perfect. Lots of restaurants and shops were close by. Our room was clean and comfortable, with really comfy beds, and the hotel was quiet overnight. Breakfast was a little overpriced at £17. There was a good selection, but the fruit was frozen rather than fresh, and the scrambled eggs tasted as if they'd been made from powder.

I had the trout to start, then the braised beef cottage pie, and both were so good. I stay in plenty of hotels and don't often rave about the food, but last night's dinner was delicious. Ten out of ten. I ended up staying here last night because of the weather, and it was a fantastic stay. The staff were friendly, helpful and a joy to talk to. Liam at the bar was excellent. I'm already looking forward to coming back.

The restaurant had a good range of tasty meals, and breakfast was very good too, with plenty of hot and cold buffet choices. There's also the option to eat in the bar or lounge. I was here for work and had an easy stay. Parking was ample, with plenty of room for vans and cars, and check-in was quick and hassle-free. The staff were very polite and efficient. My room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and the shower and bath were great. There were plenty of tea and coffee supplies, and the power and USB sockets were placed well. Ten out of ten, and well done to the staff for making everything so easy.

The restaurant was lovely, with smart, friendly, helpful staff, and the food was amazing, worth every penny. At the bar, the staff were lovely too. Live football was on, but not too loudly, and the kids loved playing table football there. We were a family of four staying for three nights. The hotel was easy to find, in a quiet area within walking distance of the town centre. Our spacious room was clean, the TV and hairdryer worked, and the curtains blocked out the light. There was no noise from outside or nearby rooms, and the comfortable beds meant we all slept well. The bath shower had good pressure. Complimentary items were provided, though we didn't use them, so I can't comment on their quality. The towels were a good size and decent hotel quality. We used the pool several times. It was a decent size and clean, and we saw different staff taking samples for testing at different times. The hot tub was lovely and the sauna did its job. The changing rooms were clean and roomy, with good lockers and a spin dryer for swimwear. We didn't try the gym, but it looked decent. The weather kept us from exploring the gardens, and we had limited time because we were attending other events during the day. Still, it was a lovely stay and we'll definitely come back. Great experience.

The beds and pillows weren't comfortable for me, though I know that's a personal thing. Otherwise, the gym and pool were fine, the rooms were clean, and breakfast had a pretty good spread. It's a nice enough hotel near the conference centre, town centre and shops. Not outstanding, but certainly better than the Telford International Hotel next door, which is odd since they're owned by the same group.
