The Babbacombe Hotel

We had a great weekend at the babbacomme hotel, with brilliant entertainment and plenty of food choice. I went for turkey and tinsial. The staff were excellent, very polite and always willing to help, and the views from the hotel were lovely. My bedroom and en-suite were spotless, and the hotel itself was clean and in a great location. The only thing I’d change is adding a little fridge to the rooms. I loved my November 2025 stay and will definitely return. Would recommend it. 5* review. Thank you babbacomme hotel. Just got home Monday 24th November. Thank you gillian newsway

It was my friend and my third weekend visit to this hotel, and the staff were just as helpful and friendly as before. Nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed the good food and excellent entertainment. Thanks to everyone who helped make our stay such an enjoyable one.

Maria in the restaurant was a special help to us, she went above and beyond and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were all worth their weight in gold, and we’re looking forward to seeing them again in May. We were given a large ground floor room because of our disabilities, with lovely French doors, and the wet room had a great shower and plenty of space. Breakfast was self service with a good range, and at dinner the chef served the meat while the rest was self service. We didn’t watch the entertainment, though lots of people said it was good, and there was bingo before the music.

The hotel and its location were lovely, and I liked my single room. The vegetarian choices were the problem. Meat eaters had two or three options, while we had one, nut roast or lentils. When I asked reception for chips, they said that was no problem, but at dinner the chef pointed to roast potato cubes and said they were the same as chips. A staff member offered to sort it out, but I ended up with a cereal bowl sized portion of chips. I wasn’t impressed with the way the chef treated me, and the lack of vegetarian and vegan variety was frustrating when there are so many tasty meat free dishes around. I won’t be going back.
