The Bahamas

We’d happily come back to the Bahamas after our two night break. The room was spotless, with a separate seating area, a huge bathroom, fluffy white towels and a mini fridge stocked with water and milk for drinks. The breakfast menu was more than enough, even though they initially said they didn’t serve fried bread when I asked. When we came down, they’d made it for me anyway, and it was delicious.

The lady was so kind and polite, and she cooks really well. I’d recommend staying here if you enjoy a good breakfast and don’t mind a 10 minute walk into the city, where there’s plenty of good food and it’s nice to visit.

Fonz & chay made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We had a fantastic 3 night stay at The Bahamas over the August bank holiday and will definitely return. The rooms were very clean and came with a mini fridge, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Breakfast isn’t included, but you can add it at check in, with plenty of choice, and we thought it was lovely. There was lots of parking on site, plus a pleasant, steady walk to the beach and harbour. A lovely couple run the place, and there was nothing we disliked.

A lovely little guest house, very clean throughout. My room was beautiful, and having a mini fridge was a great touch I haven’t come across at other guest houses. The host was exceptional, attentive to what I needed without ever being pushy or in my face. I’d definitely stay again.
