The facilities were clean, with plenty of hot water in the free showers, though there are only two large shower units. Toilets and basins are well provided for, and there are both hardstanding and grass pitches, many with EHU. I chose a pitch without EHU at £25 a night. The reception was friendly, helpful and informative. It could do with a bit of a spruce up, but I’d recommend this rustic campsite. It’s also handy for Birmingham NEC, an easy 30-minute drive away. The Case is Altered pub is about a 20-minute walk up the road, though it doesn’t serve food.

We had a great bike ride to Kenilworth castle and Hatton locks, with a good pub for food easy to reach too. It’s a beautiful campsite with good facilities and welcoming hosts. The area around Warwick is lovely for walking, cycling and paddle boarding.

The toilets and showers stayed very clean, even while we were there for three nights in a spell of very wet weather. Children can play safely in the centre of the site, away from moving vehicles. We’ve just got home and I’d definitely stay again. It’s well placed for lots of nearby attractions.

We had a super Sunday lunch at the Tom o' the Woods pub, an easy walk from the site, and there’s also a lovely real ale pub within walking distance. Warwick, Stratford and Leamington Spa are all well placed for a visit from here, with plenty of child-friendly attractions and several National Trust properties nearby. The pitches are generous, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the toilet block was spotless whenever we used it. There was plenty of hot water, and the showers were spacious with room to change. A lovely place to stay, and we intend to return.

After visiting the NEC, I stayed at Mousely House Farm. It was very peaceful and the facilities were immaculate. The wardens were so helpful when I had a problem with my electric cable. I’d definitely recommend it.
