Jonathan and Louise made us feel so welcome, and nothing seemed too much trouble. We stayed at Highgate House for our first wedding anniversary at the end of April, and had the Winter room. It was beautiful, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast delivered to the room was delicious and plentiful. The house itself is stunning, with an interesting history to read about, and its central location made it easy to get around. Jonathan suggested lots of places to visit. We'd definitely return, maybe for longer next time.

Breakfast came to the room, with a lovely spread of early morning treats to start the day. We were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived at beautiful Highgate House. Our Autumn Room was tastefully decorated and had plenty of wardrobe space, a TV, tea making facilities, bottled water and shower gels. The house is well placed in Whitby, near the centre, with plenty of on-street parking nearby. The street can be noisy at night, which is the only downside I can think of, and it's no fault of the hotel. Highly recommended, and I'd stay again.

Antique and boutique shops are just a stone's throw from this historic house, and the harbour is a short trip down the hill. My wife and I had two very comfortable nights here. The accommodation felt luxurious, breakfast was sumptuous, and our hosts were attentive and accommodating. Thanks, Jonathan and Louise, for such a relaxing stay. We'd gladly return and recommend it to others.

We loved how peaceful the B & B felt, while shops, restaurants, the park, museum and beach were all a short walk away. Our September stay at Highgate House was fantastic, with a historic house, exquisite decor, delicious breakfast and amazing hospitality from Jonathan and Louise. We'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fabulous stay in Whitby.

Breakfast in our room was a delight, and the house is a beautiful, majestic Georgian residence, decorated authentically and fitting perfectly into Whitby's historic story.
