The outdoor space and hot tub were great, and the people running the house were helpful and professional. This was our family’s second visit, and we hope to come back. It’s a beautiful place with everything we could want. Top marks from me.

Amanda and Amy were quick to respond and really accommodating when a few unexpected things came up. We had a lovely weekend with the whole family, from the children to the grandparents. The house was clean, comfortable and well equipped, and the kids made good use of the games room and hot tub. It’s close to town, but still feels quiet and safe. In spring, sunlight pours through the big windows, and the seating area outside gets nicely sheltered sun. We’d happily recommend it.
The welcome basket was a lovely touch, and we enjoyed the whole stay. The games room and hot tub had us feeling like kids again 🤣. It’s only a short walk into whitby, which we think is the best coastal town in the UK. The house itself has so much thoughtful detail and everything we could want, plus a little more. We’ve never had a better stay anywhere, and we’d give it 10 stars if we could. We can’t wait to return!
The house was immaculate, and the welcome hamper was a lovely extra. Our host was easy to contact and very responsive, and nothing felt like too much trouble. The kitchen and dining area opens onto the garden, with lots of places to sit outside and a brilliant hot tub. There were clear instructions for using it, and I found it so relaxing I didn’t want to get out. Inside, the large kitchen and dining space worked well for our group of 10 sharing a meal. I especially liked the separate living room. It was bright from the huge windows on both sides, peaceful, and had really comfortable sofas plus plenty of blankets. The house is beautifully decorated throughout, so it’s hard to choose a favourite room. I stayed in the upstairs double ensuite at the front, off the corridor. The bed and bedding were comfortable, and the shower had good pressure. Soap, shampoo, conditioner and two towels per guest were provided, which saved packing a towel. Getting in was easy, with the host sending the key code, entry details and parking guidance ahead of time. Whitby’s main attractions are about a 10-minute walk away. We enjoyed the 199 steps, Whitby Abby, and trying local food and drink. The walk back is briefly steep, but don’t let that put you off, the house has gorgeous views. I’d happily stay again, likely with my family so my children could enjoy the games room.
The house was comfortable and our family had a lovely time. The grandchildren were delighted with the games room, while their parents enjoyed the hot tub. We hope to book again.
