The landlady was really kind and helped us when we were stuck getting home because there were no trains. My girlfriend liked her so much that she still rings to see how she is. The rooms have single beds, so I’d say it suits working people better than couples. I was here for a course, and while I was out, the landlady and my partner went out for coffee together. I thought that was lovely, since my partner wasn’t left on her own getting bored.
It didn’t feel much like a B&B. We’d arranged a check-in time with the landlady, but she didn’t show up. After cycling over 90 miles, we wanted to shower before dinner, but instead were told to go get food and could only use the kitchen for ten minutes. The room felt like a spare room full of junk.
It’s part of a nice private home, and the room was clean and in good shape. Check-in was a bit unusual because nobody was home. We waited an hour, then went out for dinner first.
A lovely little place in Wilmslow. It’s clean, comfortable, and feels very homely, and the owner is warm and friendly. I’m working in Wilmslow and will stay here for as long as I’m based there. I’d recommend the tulip tree to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in machester. I much prefer it to a hotel.
I got no reply after three days. Stay away.
