Phil and Richard made us feel welcome from the moment we checked in, right through to checkout, including our dog. The guest house is close to the centre and all the amenities, yet it stays really quiet. Our room was great and very clean, and breakfast was spot on. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We hope to come back, hopefully in better weather, and would highly recommend staying here.

There’s plenty of parking, and the guest house is clean and comfortable throughout. Breakfast sets you up for the day. Rick & Phil are lovely, friendly guys, and their dogs Molly & Missy are gorgeous and friendly too. We’d recommend staying here and will definitely be back.

Our bedroom was nicely decorated and immaculately clean, and the guest house itself was very clean too. It’s well placed for walking into Windermere and bowness, and for driving to other parts of the Lakes. The facilities were fantastic: besides tea and coffee, there was a little fridge, plenty of cupboard and drawer space, a hairdryer, and an ironing board and iron. Breakfast was great, and the friendly hosts were always around if we needed anything. We’ll definitely stay again and have recommended it to friends.

We’re heading home in the morning and already wish we could stay longer. The place is spotless, breakfast is to die for, and the owners are so lovely, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. It’s dog friendly too, and our dog was treated like Lord of the manor. We loved our stay in this gorgeous guest house in the lake district. Thanks so much, phil and Rick.
