Georgie was a huge help with arranging my father’s surprise 60th birthday and keeping it under wraps. Our large party stayed across both cottages, which are beautiful and only a short walk down to the lake, so we didn’t need the cars. There’s also a lovely local across the road. I’d highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Windermere.

The owners are respectful, good people. I left my charger in the room, and Helen sent it to my address without charging me, which was very kind. The place is comfortable and warm, and I liked being between Bowness on the right and restaurants and coffee shops on the left. Those spots are about a 15-minute walk away, which was fine for me. Breakfast was nice. Totally recommended.

This is an excellent holiday home with everything you need and more. One room is a little small, not quite a double, but I’d come again.
