Hearing the owners call the Wirral “the posh side of Liverpool” made me think they were completely deluded. They were awful hosts and played games on Four in a Bed. They criticised other places, yet had stained carpets and small rooms themselves. They underpaid a far superior room by £40 because they didn't consider it “luxury”. Don't give them your business.

The staff were excellent and made sure everyone was seated as the Christmas party got underway. The kitchen was busy with more than 40 people in the room, but still managed to get the food out. We slept brilliantly on a comfortable bed, and breakfast was smashing. We arrived late in the evening and couldn't see what a beautiful establishment peel hey is.

A really lovely dog-friendly place, with a delicious veggie breakfast and helpful, friendly people throughout. We had a warm welcome, a beautiful, clean and comfortable room, a lovely ensuite, and a great selection of tea and coffee with a kettle. We'll definitely return!

The staff were very kind and attentive, and the homemade scones were top notch. We held a lovely Wake at the Peel Hey Hotel, one of my Nan's favourite places for afternoon tea. Couldn't have asked for a better send-off.

The full English breakfast was amazing. We had a twin room that deserved five stars for size, comfort and decor. The house is beautiful, and the owner and staff were friendly and helpful. As they were still getting back on their feet after the covid shut down, there was no evening meal, but they suggested some good places to try. I'd stay again.
