The chef even came out to check everything was all right, and the staff were attentive and so friendly. We went for Sunday evening roast with the family and were really impressed. There was plenty of excellent, well-prepared food, served generously. I can't see how they offer that quality for the price. They could charge more and it'd still be good value. I'd recommend it without hesitation. Five stars don't feel like enough.

We had a lovely night here. The room was spacious and clean, and the food was excellent. Everyone working there was really friendly. At first I was concerned that our room sat above the public bar, since we could hear some noise through the floor, but it settled down by bedtime.

The restaurant had an impressive range of dishes, all nicely presented and very tasty. There was a friendly feel throughout the building, too. We found the family room great value, with plenty of space, tea-making facilities and a fridge that came in handy for food and drinks. We'll definitely visit again.

We felt very comfortable during our two-night stay with our dog. Our room was clean, spacious and very quiet, tucked away at the back with its own patio. Everyone at Halfway House was welcoming, kind and helpful. It's the most dog-friendly place. The only small drawback was that the pillows were a bit flat.

The chef's BBQ rib recommendation was amazing. I also wanted to thank the bar staff for making the experience so lovely. They were friendly, professional and beautiful.
