The Keep

The room was lovely and large, and very clean. It was a cold night, though: the bathroom window was wide open and the central heating wasn't on when we arrived, so we used the small electric heater provided. The bed was firm. Breakfast had a good self-service selection, including eggs made to order. Great location near the high street.

The rooms are fantastic and come with a fridge, microwave, kettle, and TV, plus well-appointed bathrooms. The location wasn't one we were especially keen on, but it worked perfectly for a night or two. Breakfast was okay, though £15 each felt a bit steep when all I had was some cereal, toast, and a cup of tea. Surprisingly great place.

The self check-in was a bit of a challenge for me, but the staff were so nice and helpful. I was in room 5 on the second floor for one night. Inside, it was very quiet, and the spotless room had a small fridge, microwave, plates and utensils, a large comfortable bed with lots of pillows, and a large shower. There was no bath in this room. The birds at 6 am were a little annoying, so the windows could use double glazing. One small suggestion: some frosted lines on the shower glass would help. It was so clean I nearly walked into it!

After a terrible experience down the road, I had to find somewhere else at 9 pm. The lady I spoke with was incredibly helpful and made sure I could park and check in. Self check-in was very well organised, with staff available by phone. The room was lovely, super clean and fresh, with a massive bed, fridge, microwave, big TV, and lamps with a phone charger built in. The bathroom was good too. I wish I'd stayed for breakfast; it smelled amazing when I left in the morning. I'll book here next time I'm in Yeovil.
