The Townhouse

The house is beautiful, centrally located, and very well equipped, though there are lots of stairs. It could use a deep clean: it looks fine at first, but move anything and you’ll see what I mean. The watered-down hand wash in all the bathrooms was another letdown. I got it on my top and had to change. Such a shame to have these small things spoil the place.

The house has four levels, so it won’t suit anyone who doesn’t like stairs. Down in the basement there’s a large, well-equipped kitchen diner. There are three double bedrooms, one en-suite, plus a big sitting room with a double sofa bed and wifi. There’s also a small patio at the back. The location is very good, inside the York city walls. There’s no parking at the house, but a large public car park is only a few minutes’ walk away.

You can walk to all the tourist spots from here, and the central location is still quiet. The place is well appointed. Highly recommended.
