You’re paying for the location here, which is great for seeing the city, and it’s a low-cost hotel. The rooms are small and it isn’t luxurious, but there are plenty of nicer options nearby if that’s what you want. For a good night’s sleep in a superb spot, especially if you won’t spend much time in your room, it works well.

The staff are super friendly, and the central location is handy, with a good coffee shop next door. The place has a lively feel, sometimes a bit too lively. It’s closer to an upmarket hostel than a traditional hotel, since the rooms open onto a shared kitchen and common area. Noise carries late into the night, and the busy street out front plus buskers playing guitar below the window add to the downtown racket. Still, it’s good value. As the great beat poet John B. Jovi said, “we can sleep when we're dead”...

We picked this hotel for our trip to Tbilisi to get married, and were happy with the choice. The staff were incredibly helpful, from arranging a cab and giving directions to finding vases for the flowers we got as gifts. Our room was spacious and had what we needed, including AC, a small refrigerator, a closet, and even a jacuzzi for two alongside the large shower. I’d recommend it for a cozy stay with good rooms and really nice, helpful staff.

Boombully is on the second floor of one of the grand old buildings on Rustaveli Avenue, the city's main thoroughfare. It has just eight rooms, and feels more like a hostel on steroids than a traditional hotel. The rooms are clean and neat, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The best part for me was opening the balcony door and taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of the lively street below. The common room and kitchen are excellent, though I found the street scene more compelling. It was a great low-cost place to stay in Tbilisi.

Breakfast from the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf next door was good, and the location puts you near the action. The hotel itself is very basic, and some rooms share bathrooms. Mine was exceptionally small and noisy, right on a main thoroughfare. The receptionist seemed bored and didn’t seem keen to leave the desk to show us around.
